Generation 1: The King of Sunset (Chapter 2)

While Honey was happy to take care of her babies, it seemed quickly that Jack wasn't able to stand his own children.. The house was so tiny that Honey had no other choices than putting the two cribs in their common bedroom


Jack wasn't ready to accept such a burden in his own bedroom. He did feel himself now like in a jail. He hated his family so much that he seemed to him that he would have been able soon to do something stupid.


So, after a big argument with his wife, he did the choice to sleep in the living room.

"Don't be suprised if some day, you wake up and you see that I'm not here anymore..." he said coolly to his frightened wife


The sleeping bad he had brought from his childhood's house was perfect... for the moment.
Honey was devastated but her last strenghts were not consecrated to save her marriage but to take care of her two adorable babies, that she loved more than everything. She saw now how right her father was.. she was blinded by her love, but now it seemed obvious that Jack was selfish and cruel..However, the fact that he didn't like his own childrens was definitely breaking Honey's heart...
Honey was alone to take care of the babies and had no time anymore to clean the house. So Jack's nerves definitely broke the following day when he saw that he was forced to eat in such a mess.. Even the waffles were burned, Honey hadn't found the time to prepare a correct breakfast. Jack thought that he was working hard to reach the last level of his career of movie director, and was in right to require decent conditions of life.

When the car arrived to carry him at the cinema studio, Jack showed his rebellious nature and swore in his beard that he won't come back in this house anymore.

Despite of this decision, the day was very nice. Jack reached the level 5 of his career. His boss was very happy with him. It sounded like a big advantage for his future.
He was so happy that he ran to Vita Alto's house. The Alto estate was located not far from the cinema studio. Jack had never see the house so closely until now, and was stunned to see that it looked like more a palace than a simple huge house.


Jack had met Vita at the VIP club "the Carmine". Vita was the town's mayor but was more famous because of her husband, Nick Alto, than by her real talents. She had enjoyedJjack's company and they became close friends 2 days later. It was the only rich and famous person Jack had befriended at Sunset since his arrival, and as it was really needed to progress in his career, he was determined to preserve this new friendship..


So, when Jack arrived at Vita's home to announce that he had just been promoted, a new idea appeared in this head. Everyone knew in town that Vita and Nick had been living separately (even under the same roof) for a few years. So Vita's new pregnancy was feeding gossips among Sunset valley's inhabitants...Who was the real father?? Noone really knew. For some people, it was the pizzaiolo Vita's eldest daughter used to call every night (noone really cooked in this home). . For others, it was her secretary at the city hall...


When Jack entered the hall of the house, he was stunned by the luxury of the decorations and the furnishing.. Everything smelt money in this house. So Jack decided that it was time to take his fate in hands..Vita was snob, stupid and displeasant to look, but she had money, celebrity, and power

This evening, Jack attempted to seduce Vita, which was a great success.. Jack's physical appearance was a great advantage as he hadn't got to make a lot of effort to seduce women.


Nick Alto wasn't jealous at all and invited Jack to stay at home for the night. "My house is your house, said the powerful man, which sounds to Jack and Vita as if he had said "My wife is your wife.."
"Great, Jack replied.. Can I enjoy the pool?"

Jack had never enjoyed a private pool like this one. He was so happy... "This IS A REAL LIFE, he thought while slipping slowly into the pool "


When he got out of the pool, Jack found himself under the flash of a paparazzi. The Alto were very fond of paparazzi, and of any other kind of people who worked to show their fortune and power to the world. So they kept their doors open to paparazzi, and Jack was touched to see that they paid attention to him too. It was the first photo of him taken by by a paparazzi, and trying to show his best profile, he couldn't hide his pleasure to be now the center of all attentions.



The next morning, Jack embraced Vita on the sofa.. " The night was extraordinay. I slept like a baby. I cannot keep silent anymore on what I feel for you Vita.. I love you. I don't want to let you.. I love you so much..'" Vita kissed him " I love you too, she replied with great emotion..Stay with me, please. I don't want to stay alone with this baby to come. I feel so alone in this huge and cold mansion"'
"I won't let you, my dear, replied Jack, never...Hmmm, now, can I use your bathroom??"
"Of course, replied Vita, It's your home.. don't forget it"

Vita's bathroom was the best part of the house. The walls and floors were a mix of gold and red marble. The tub was in pure gold. Jack was subjugated...

He abandoned himself with a sigh of joy in the bathtub.. The view of the town, through the windows, was breath-taking.. "I won't never leave this place, Jack tought in a flush of pride and arrogance.. I'm the King of Sunset"

Generation 1: Beginning and troubles

Here's my new random legacy.. It's my first blog in english, so be indulgent if some sentences don't sound well in english lol

My first roll is: Couple/ Movie director and Day care profession (Expansion Gift)/ 2 kids/ Change of scenery/ Living your trait

Jack Rivers is a handsome guy with a contrasted personnality. A unhappy childhood has let him with a rebellious character and a very low sense of humor. He has been raised by his mum and his brother but he hated any kind of authority and had always big arguments with his eldest brother. The rare moments when she was lucid, his alcoolic mother used to say about him "Don't trust my son, he 's like Hyde and Jekyll.. You never know what he's able to do.. " Jack met Honey Stewart in a bar where she used to go with her friends after school. Noone never knows if it was fate which allowed Jack and Honey's first meeting. Jack's closest friends well knew how much he was fascinated by celebrities and money.

Honey Stewart had always been an hopeless romantic. Being the unique child of a wealthy business man, she had been raised like a weak rose under a crystal cup.. no guys were allowed to stand too close to her. So she was really happy when a handsome blue-eyed guy picked the handkerchief that had fallen from her bag, and gave it back to her "Are you Miss Stewart?? he said to her shamelessly, you're prettiest than all the photos I've ever seen of you since I live in this town.. I can understand now why your father doesn't want any guys to approach you..But I'm not afraid of him,. And I like you. Do you want to be my girlfiend?"

Such request would have let any girls dubious and shocked.. but for an hopeless romantic like Honey, it was enough to fall in love with Jack, and she accepted immediatly.

Of course, her father was angry and after trying many times to break their love relationship, he declared solemny that he had lost his daughter and never wanted to hear anything about her in the future. However, he accepted to meet his daughter a last time. She said to him that Jack and herself were in the point to move in another town: Sunset Valley.

With so many VIP living in town, Sunset Valley is more expensive than any other towns in the country. So Honey had not enough money to buy a decent house. Despite of his anger, thinking about his daughter being forced to sleep under bridges or under ugly tents was more than her inflexible father could stand...He gave her only 16.000 simoleons "You'll be unhappy with him, were his last words to his beloved daughter, "he's selfish and ambitious.. You're like a flower needing to be watered every day, you're born to be loved.. he just thinks about himself"

Indeed, Jack wasn't really romantic. And the view of their new house left him a bit irritated... He had hoped that Honey's father would have been more generous than that. For Godness's sake, she was his unique daughter!!!!... The old idiot!!!.. it was not with this miserable shed that Jack would be able to impress his new famous neighbours.



Jack was trying to hide his great fury, regarding the poverty of the house.. but the fact that Honey had not hesitated to open her purse to purchase him a new life had great effect on him.. Spending a few simoleons to buy her red flowers was at least something he could do


Jack went immediatly to the cinema studio, where he found a job of second role.. A lot of work, and a very low wage, but he has no choice. Honey choose to take care of childrens. She is fond of kids..
But money was always missing and life was very difficult in Sunset. Celebrities were not impressed at all by Jack. In fact, he has nothing to tell about himself or about his life. He has no money, no friends among celebrities and no talents to put forward. And having no enough money to corrupt the bouncer, He was not even able to be accepted into the most famous club in town: "the Carmine".

The bouncer: "30 simoleons.???? Are you kidding me?? Go back with your money, good-for-nothing, it's not enough even for your ass"


One week of this treatment led to great tensions in the couple. Honey found her fiance stressful and angry. She was totally rejected when she tried to give him some comfort.

Jack, screaming "... Let me alone!! I don't want to come back home to find moaners vomiting on the floor!! do you understand it? I work all the day, I'm tired.. I do all this hard work for you, and you're not even able to give me some respect. I hate our life and I hate this town!!"
Honey was confused.. Their life was difficult but she didn't deserve such manners. It seems to her that their couple was in great danger

The next day, while Jack was trying again to enter the VIP club " Carmine" , he found Honey waiting for him, sitting on a bench behind the building



Jack: "Honey! Dear, what are you doing here? "


Honey: " I love you, I can't stand that you come here everyday to be rejected every day. It's your dream to be a famous movie director.. and I know you won't succeed if you haven't got at least 2 or 3 important relationships in town.. I had saved a few simoleons from what my father gave to me before our departure.. I wanted to use it for my wedding gown. But you're more important for me than a ridiculous dress that I'll wear only one time in my life".
Emotion felt on Jack as a hurricane.. He realized how lucky he was to be engaged with such a woman.

"I'm sorry for everything I said to you last night, Honey.. I do regret"
" Don't worry, my love, it's all forgotten"

Honey sacrified her wedding dress and paid the bouncer.


She paid 200 simoleons for both of them to access the VIP salon. But as she had hoped, her sacrifice was greatly rewarded. The place was full of brillant and famous people. Jack and herself were like under a string of stars...



Jack succeded to impress Nick Alto and Noemie landgraab at a point that they found themselves very interested by this handsome and attractive guy.. Nick Alto even offered him a cocktail (a drink so expensive that Jack couldn't afford it by himself) This evening, the couple earned his first celebrity stars and when Honey revelead to the snobish Noemie Landgraab that she was a Stewart, the daugther of one of the wealthiest businessman in the world, the news of his glorious ancestry spreads quickly into the town"... She's a Stewart.. the daughter of Jonas Stewart.."

Honey didn't realize that she had talked too much. The city was full of paparazzi, living only to spread rumors about famous people. The fact that she lived a very simple and anonymous life in Sunset Valley hadn't made her suspicious.

The evening at "the Carmine" was unforgettable and finally opened to Jack the doors of the town. The fact is Jack realised that he really needed Honey. She was his fortune, his chance.. . Even if her father had refused to give her enough money to live a decent life, his name of Stewart was a big fortune by itself. Jack didn't want to let Honey escape, even if he was sure not be so in love with her. But it was time to marry and to sit his fortune

So, Jack decided to marry Honey the next day, behind a few of their friends. No VIP were invited as it wasn't a great ceremony with a palace in the backyard, a limo, or expensive outfits and decorations.. but Honey had befriended a few people among the most anonymous people in Sunset, and Jack invited his boss and a co-worker


No wedding gown for Honey, and not even music to dance. The only touch of a real wedding was a cake that Jack had been able to buy with the money he had got when reached the level 2 of his career. Nevertheless, the show was done by one the previous "moaners" whom Honey had taken care a few days ago.. the little boy climbed on a chair, put a crown on his head and performed a show that helps the guests to forget how sad this wedding was...


But even without any VIP at the wedding, Jack discovers the next morning that one of his friends (a second actor like himself) was rich enough to offer a very expensive wedding gift. It was a very ugly sculpture which value was more than 12.000 simoleons.

Two days after this simple wedding, Honey announced to Jack that she was pregnant. Her husband seemed to receive the news with great joy. But behind his wife's back, he exploded in a neurotic attack

"I'm not ready to be a father.. Not now, not in this house, not with that girl.. It's so stupid. I am unlucky to have such a stupid wife"

But he had no choice. His new famous friends and the whole town won't never accept him to let down his wife (A Stewart girl, above all!!!) in full pregnancy. The idea that he was now like in a jail was totally upsetting for Jack rebellious nature. He had never really love Honey, and now he started to hate her. He tried to think about how to take revenge for all the grief he had to suffer by her fault.. His selfish, neurotic and contrasted nature was now exploding

The fact that Honey gave birth 3 days later to 2 adorable twins: a girl, Elena and a boy Emmet, didn't have any effect on dry-heart Jack.. and he started to ruminate his revenge...


Challenges notes: It seems to me that Generations has increased the chance to have twins from different gender (Calisims too has one boy and one girl).
Nothing spectacular in this household for the first week (no money at all), but I hope money will arrive now that Jack has reached the level 4 of his career.
Elena is my heir (the second born), my next roll for Generation 2 is: Single parent with help/ 2 kids (again)/ Ghost Hunting and Chemistry addict (Expansion gift)/Death Eater/ No strangers
Live your trait is a difficult goal as I've chosen Star Quality for Jack. I've to fulfill the permanent wishes to meet celebrity or to gain stars. Which is tiring because he has to spend a lot of time in VIP clubs, or dance clubs..
Honey is 3-stars celebrity and Jack is only 2. I haven't understood anything and as soon as jack earned the first star, it seems that things were much more easy after.. Honey gained 3 stars and I cannot explain why and how.. EA's VIP system is really stupid! but it was suitable to my story so I didn't change anything.. Otherwise, I would have used Twallan's MC to remove stars.
I like Generations, it's my favorite EP until now. All the new features are really great for family life (and legacy challenges)
